Numerous studies have shown leukemia to be more common in cellular phone users, Fiorenzo Marinelli, a cell biologist in Bologna, Italy, started exposing leukemia cells to the same 900 MHz frequency many cellular networks use at low-power levels used by those living, studying or working in the area cell phone towers. On the positive end, after the first twenty four hours of continuous exposure, 20% of this cells died. On the negative side, following 48 hours, the effects reversed. The cancers survival mechanism kicked in, causing 3 genes, that causes the cells to proliferate, to become active.
