Darius Leszczynski, a Finish scientist, found that several hundred chemicals functioning in a certain type of human brain cells could be altered by the weak microwaves emitted by cellular phones.

The blood-brain barrier functions by keeping the toxins and any microorganisms in the blood out of the brain region. However, Professor Leszczynski found that at the legal level for cellular radiation exposer , a protein called HSP 27, which normally participates in keeping these toxins out of the brain region, became futile in it’s ability to do so. If proteins in the blood cross this barrier, they can cause autoimmune diseases like Multiple Sclerosis and Fibromyalgia. This can also lead to Dementia, Parkinson’s and premature aging from these damaged nerve cells. Alzheimer’s disease can be indirectly linked to the inflammation of these brain cells.

Medications, which under normal circumstances would not be able to cross the blood-brain barrier can now do so and cause unnecessary damage, as well. [British Library Net Sept 14/03]
